About Portfolio
Sky Protocol (SKY) is the governance token of Sky, an evolved version of the MakerDAO system focused on decentralized finance. It introduces a dual-token model: USDS, a USD-pegged stablecoin, and SKY, the upgraded governance token replacing MKR. The protocol emphasizes non-custodial savings, rewards, and a modular ecosystem governed by token holders.
Governance & Token Utility
The SKY token is used for decentralized governance, enabling holders to vote on protocol parameters, treasury allocation, ecosystem upgrades, and validator elections. It can also be staked in the Sky Staking Engine to earn rewards and support network security. USDS holders access the Sky Savings Rate and earn SKY through the Sky Token Rewards program.
