TON

About Portfolio

Toncoin (TON) is the native cryptocurrency of The Open Network, a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain initially developed by Telegram and now maintained by the TON Foundation. Designed for scalability, low transaction costs and seamless user experience, TON enables fast decentralized applications and micropayments across a sharded architecture.

The network’s architecture includes:

  • A Proof of Stake consensus mechanism and dynamic sharding for high throughput

  • Native support for on-chain storage, DNS, proxy routing, and payment services

  • Deep integration with Telegram, including wallet functionality for millions of users

  • Developer-friendly tools for building scalable dApps and DeFi protocols

Governance & Token Utility

The TON token is used to pay transaction fees, participate in staking and validator operations, and access TON ecosystem services such as storage and domain registration. TON holders also contribute to protocol governance through on-chain proposals.

Key Milestones & Ecosystem Growth

  • Expanded wallet integration within Telegram and launched the non-custodial TON Space

  • Deployed core services including TON DNS, TON Proxy and TON Storage

  • Ecosystem growth with staking platforms, DEXs, NFTs, and games built on TON
